Come to Professor Leonini's lecture on Dante Alighieri and learn who this man was, what his great literary masterpiece (The Divine Comedy) was all about, and why this work is considered one of the three "giant pieces of world literature", along with Homer, and Shakespeare. You will also learn that this man's work was inspired by a great immortal love. Learn also how Dante inspired the Italian language we all love, and study even today!

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Professor Louis R. Leonini is a teacher of the Italian language and history. In addition to teaching, Louis co-founded the Speaker's Bureau and, as such, delivers lectures and presentations on Italian history and culture in the NY/NJ area.
