The Feast of St. Rocco — a five-day celebration of Italian heritage and the patron saint of the sick — returns to Glen Cove this month. The "Best Feast In The East," as it's dubbed, is hosted by the Church of St. Rocco. It kicks off July 28 and includes carnival rides, live music and entertainment, raffle prizes, and a wide variety of food.
Each year, thousands of people travel to the area to feast on sausage and pepper sandwiches, homemade pasta, meatballs, tripe, and other delicacies. And if you still have an appetite, look for the Italian pastries and homemade ice cream.
