On the occasion of Giorno della memoria 2024 (International Holocaust Remembrance Day), literary scholar Gabriella Romani in conversation with director Fabio Finotti presents Lost Bread by Edith Bruck, which she translated with David Yanoff. The Italian original, Il pane perduto (2021), was a finalist for the prestigious Premio Strega. Born in Hungary, Ms. Bruck was deported to Auschwitz in 1944 and survived with her sister.
