Gov. Andrew Cuomo defended the work of an anti-corruption commission Monday — saying the fact that the now-defunct panel ultimately disregarded the advice of his office is proof of its independence.
It's an argument that GOP gubernatorial candidate and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino later called "gobbledygook," while likening the Democratic governor's alleged interference to those of a mafia boss making "an offer you can't refuse."
