To celebrate October as Italian-American Month, Columbia County Sons and Daughters of Italy #659 President Christine Marcherone Grossman has announced that Angela Guzzi and James Armstrong will be awarded the prestigious Carl A. Florio 2024 Positive Image Award. 

The lodge is hosting the Annual Italian American Recognition Reception on Sunday Oct. 13 from 1-3 p.m. at the Lodge on Bridge Street in Greenport where the presentation will be made to Guzzi and Armstrong. An Italian lunch and refreshments will be served. The reception is open to the public with no charge.
