Since Women’s History Month is commemorated in March as a way to acknowledge the contributions women have made to society and to celebrate the progress made toward women’s rights, The Italian American Women of Staten Island will host their annual Women in History Month Luncheon in Nino’s Restaurant on Sunday, March 10 from noon to 4 p.m.
And it’s not too early to reserve. To be recognized during the event will be Genevieve Giles, a registered nurse, who is certified in Hospice and Palliative Care. The guest speaker is Lisa Bova-Hiatt, CEO of the New York City Housing Authority.
