During a recent homily on "World Day For The Poor," Pope Francis spoke in detail about the need for individuals to overcome indifference and apathy -- and urged people the world over to use their gifts and talents to assist those in need in communities and beyond.
Pope Francis noted: "So let us not seek for ourselves more than we need, but rather what is good for others, and nothing of value will be lacking to us". Members of the Italian Club of Staten Island Foundation are living Pope Francis' kind words by sharing with families in need throughout Staten Island by providing food for the holidays to the needy.
