New York City’s iconic San Gennaro Feast on Mulberry Street welcomed an enchanting guest this year—The Italian Fairy, along with her mesmerizing Incanto performers.
Arriving at the Church of the Most Precious Blood, they were warmly greeted by “I Figli di San Gennaro” Board of Directors, John Fratta, Pat Illuzzi, Emily De Palo, Mario Capparelli and many other members instantly feeling at home amid the rich cultural heritage of the festival.
Thrilled to participate in one of the city’s most beloved and long-standing traditions, Simona Rodano - the Italian Fairy- along with the outstanding group of Incanto performers, Pasqualino Beltempo, Giuseppe Agostaro, Arianna Stendardo, Jasmin Cicchino, Emanuele Fiore, Maria Carmen Falivene, Serena Carella , Claudio Taverni joined the vibrant procession along Mulberry Street, surrounded by crowds of festival-goers singing and dancing the songs of the upcoming edumusical “Caccia al Tesoro” (Treasure Hunt). With thousands lining the streets and booths offering classic Italian delicacies, the Italian Fairy couldn’t resist sampling some cannoli and pasta, a perfect tribute to Italy's culinary heritage.
As the group paraded through the lively atmosphere, they embraced the multicultural audience with open arms, highlighting the spirit of inclusivity that defines New York. Yet, the celebration of San Gennaro remains distinctly Italian, evoking the beauty and warmth of traditional village festivals honoring saints and community.
Amid the smiles, hugs, and waves, the Italian Fairy’s presence brought an extra layer of magic to an already beloved event. For many, it was an unforgettable experience - a celebration of Italian culture, love, and joy that transcends generations and borders.
