Enjoy the culture, music and food of Italy at the Italian Heritage Celebration, Sunday, July 24, from noon to 7 p.m., at the Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. The event is part of a series of cultural heritage festivals held in the parks on weekends during the summer. Astorino - Cultural Days in Westchester"I always appreciate seeing the beautiful plaza become a piazza as we celebrate the rich culture of Italy with family, friends, delicious food and festive music," County Executive Robert P. Astorino said.
He added, "Our national anthem will be sung by Brooke Chaco-Lemm in memory of her father, fallen Air National Guard Staff Sergeant and NYPD Detective Joseph G. Lemm." Live musical entertainment will be provided by singer/songwriter/composer Alfio, and Italian-American favorites will be performed by Don Felice and Band. Additional entertainment includes Neapolitan singer Antonio Guarna, Organetto musician Gianni and New York #1 DJ Kenny.
