People of all nationalities came together for a celebration of Italian culture in Valhalla this weekend. The Italian Heritage Festival at the Kensico Dam draws thousands every year as people enjoy popular Italian food and classic Italian music.
Event sponsors say Italians have contributed to Westchester's past, present and future. "We try to remember where we come from, who we are and what we are about. And basically we are wonderful, wonderful people," says Mario Cermele, of the Antonio Meucci Lodge #213.
