After repeated successes in Europe, the Balloon Museum has opened the immersive contemporary art exhibition "Let's Fly" in New York City. The Balloon Museum is a project of Italian excellence, involving renowned international artists creators of inflatable art. The exhibition has received the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
From Oct. 27 until Jan. 14, the spaces of Pier 36 will host 15 works that feature air as a distinctive element. The Balloon Museum represents a new educational and interactive form of art. The exhibition takes the form of a journey through gigantic installations with unexpected shapes in which the distance between the works and the viewer is obliterated and guides the visitor on an unprecedented sensory, physical and digital journey.
The Balloon Museum project was conceived and designed in Italy. Even some of the artists on display are Italian, demonstrating that Italy, already so beloved by New York audiences for its classical and Renaissance art, can also be a protagonist of the contemporary art scene.
