Jehovah's Witnesses are inviting the entire Italian speaking community to attend their annual Regional Convention that will be held at the Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 23 Unity Pl, Newburgh NY, 12550-6715. This year's program will have the theme, "Remain Loyal to Jehovah!" The 3-day program will consist of 49 parts, including a total of 35 videos. Each one will expand on the theme of "loyalty".
Raffaele Palazzolo, spokesman for the Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses, states: "We strongly believe that loyalty is an essential part of any healthy relationship. Our convention this year features content that will help people develop stronger bonds with friends, family members and, above all, with God. We are confident that all who attend will enjoy this program." In the weeks to come, Italian speaking groups and congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses all over the United States will be particularly engaged in inviting the entire Italian community to attend this special event. The 3-day convention to be held in Newburgh, NY will begin on Friday, July 22nd 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Entrance is free of charge and no collection will be taken.
One of the highlights of the program will be the showing of two full-length feature movies. The first entitled, "Hope for What We Do Not See," will be shown on Saturday July 23rd at 3:25 p.m. Filmed in a modern day setting, it tells the story of a man and his happy family who, without warning, find themselves facing a series of traumatic events. The story is both compelling and moving. The second movie, entitled, "O Jehovah...I Trust in You," will be shown on Sunday, July 24th at 1:50 p.m. Set in the eighth century B.C.E. and packed with extraordinary special effects, it tells the story of the famous king Hezekiah as he shrewdly defends his people's city from a siege by the powerful Assyrian enemies. Both movies are a must-see!
An estimated 1,000 will come to the Newburgh Assembly Hall on that weekend for the Bible-based program. Jehovah's Witnesses in the United States plan to host hundreds of conventions in many different cities. Worldwide, there are more than 8,200,000 Witnesses in more than 118,000 congregations.
