Live Italian accordion music. Wine tasting. An operatic performance. Puppets. Marionettes. Family-style picnic. Italian pottery demonstrations. Now that is a line up for a perfect celebration of the culture of Italy. July 16 is when Jeffersonville JEMS will be bringing its second international day, "A Day in Italy," to the Backyard Park at 876 Swiss Hill Road North in Jeffersonville. The park will be the setting for all the festivities of the day.
"A Day in Italy" will begin at 1 p.m. with a family-style picnic. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and, of course, food for the bunch. For those who would enjoy Italian fare, Michelangelo's Restaurant on Main Street will be offering a takeout Italian menu that day.
