Lecture by Mario Fratti and Goffredo Palmerini

You are cordially invited to attend a lecture by acclaimed playwright, Mario Fratti and award-winning journalist, Goffredo Palmerini at the Italian American Museum on Thursday, October 9. Mario Fratti and Goffredo Palmerini will discuss Palmerini's latest book titled, L'Italia Dei Sogni.

L'Italia Dei Sogni (2014) is the latest volume of Palmerini's trilogy after "L'Aquila Nel Mondo"(2010) and L'Altra Italia" (2012) discussing immigration from Abruzzo. The book reflects on the values and qualities that Italian immigrants have taken with them throughout the world. The lecture will be given in both English and Italian.

About Goffredo Palmerini:

Goffredo Palmerini was born in L'Aquila, capital of Abruzzo, where he worked for over 30 years at the City Hall as Consigliere Comunale and Administrator. He writes for several papers and magazines, both local and international. In 2008, he won the XXXI Premio Internazionale Emigrazione as journalist and International Prize "Guerriero di Capestrano" for his contribution to the circulation of the Abruzzese culture in the world.

About Mario Fratti:

Mario Fratti is an internationally acclaimed playwright and theater critic and professor emeritus of Italian literature at Hunter College born in L'Aquila, Abruzzo.
