Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michael Consuelo is retiring at the end of September, after about seven years at the helm. “I’m nearing the age of 70, and having retired once before, I thought maybe another go-around is needed,” he said in a telephone interview on Thursday.
“While I’ve enjoyed my tenure with the chamber, I know that perhaps new leadership should be coming in with maybe a younger person at the helm,” he added. Consuelo first came to the chamber in 2009, leading the Convention & Visitors Bureau as the special events and convention sales director. He was appointed interim director in 2010 and then permanent director.
