About the Artist
Laura Benaglia Nones considers art to be a sacred place in which one's inner world can be transformed into something visible and concrete. In all of her paintings, Benaglia Nones has a great ability to transfer emotions, sensations, and feelings to the canvas, making them palpable to the viewer and thus very real. In her figurative mixed media on canvas paintings, Benaglia Nones presents the viewer with compelling and transcendent images that lend insight to the human experience, bridging the physical world we all find ourselves in with the spiritual and emotional worlds that come to define and enhance our experience of everyday life.
A masterful use of color and light has become a hallmark of Benaglia Nones' work. Color adds a sense of vitality and sets the mood of the paintings, while light and shadow are employed to convey a sense of lightness and highlight the beauty that is to be found in all life. Benaglia Nones explains the beauty of life as such: "light, delicate, colorful, widespread, and endless."
Laura Benaglia Nones currently lives and works in Bolzano, Italy.
