Lecture: Leopardi and Nature by Giorgio Ficara with Jonathan Galassi
Columbia University's Italian Academy is pleased to present the third annual lecture of the Compagnia di San Paolo Italian Academy Distinguished Visiting Professorship.
This series focuses on Italian literature, art history, and musicology. This year's holder of the position is the renowned Italianist Giorgio Ficara. He will be joined onstage by Jonathan Galassi, translator of Leopardi and others, and is himself a poet, as well as President and Publisher of Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
