Amici di Magazzino marks an important milestone for Magazzino Italian Art as we continue to expand our community of friends. Established for passionate supporters of contemporary art, architecture, and design, who share an appreciation for Italian culture, Amici di Magazzino brings together local and international art enthusiasts, scholars, and families under the same love for Italian art, something that originated with our Co-founders' vision since our opening in 2017.
As a member of the Amici community, you will be invited to an array of culturally-enriching activities, including curator-led tours showcasing seminal works never-before-seen outside of Italy, scholarly lectures delivered by leading experts from around the world, workshops, art fairs, studio visits both nationally and internationally, gallery tours, and curated trips to culinary experiences and cultural events that showcase the best of contemporary Italy and its heritage. You will also get behind-the-scenes access to attend lectures and tours of the new Magazzino building site, and will play an important role in Magazzino’s growth as an institution.
Magazzino embraces the guiding principle of Arte Povera artists: that “Art is Life”—an idea just as radical now as it was then. The simple belief that art represents the human experience, elevating and connecting us to one another, sets Magazzino apart as an institution that looks to the future with the deepest respect for the past, actively shaping the identity and knowledge of contemporary Italian art and culture throughout the world. Join the Amici community and be united in a shared love of the arts through supporting Magazzino Italian Art, a gem of Italian culture nestled in the Hudson Valley.
