September 30 (Friday) 6:30 pm. MEUCCI VS. BELL: Who Invented the Telephone?. A presentation by Professor Louis Leonini on the life and work of Antonio Meucci, the overlooked original inventor of the telephone who first discovered how sound could travel on a copper wire when Alexander Graham Bell was just two years old. The presentation will include the screening of the documentary by Anton Evangelista which skillfully portrays the life of this great man. Must register and prepay. Seating is limited.
