Michael T. Strianese is the Grand Marshal of the 2024 Columbus Celebration. Michael is a distinguished business executive best known for his tenure as the Chairman and CEO of L3 Technologies, Inc. From the inception of L3 Technologies, Michael served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and in 2006, he was appointed as the CEO and later became the Chairman of the Board. He retired in 2018. 

Born, raised and educated in New York, Michael graduated in the Class of 1974 from Xaverian High school, a school close to CCF's heart, with our scholarship program providing Xaverian students $1.2 million of support. He earned his BS in Accounting from St. John’s University in Queens, NY.

Michael was chairman of the Aerospace Industries Association and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. His leadership and achievements have earned him many accolades, including the Semper Fidelis Award from the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, as well as the Eisenhower Distinguished Citizen Award from the Army Distaff Foundation.

In addition to being a devoted husband and father, Michael is known for his philanthropic efforts. Among the many causes important to Michael and his family, they are particularly proud to support our military and their families.
