New York is my home state. It is a state with a large and well-developed Italian American population and, of course, an important role in the history of our community in the United States.
So it should come as no surprise that in its impending gubernatorial election we see Italian American candidates on both sides of the aisle (a repeat of the election four years ago, which also saw two Italian Americans running against one another).
