Italians-Americans like to say they love to talk -- and one of the organizers at Little Italy Fest in Gates proved that stereotype to be true Saturday afternoon. During an award presentation, one of the organizers let it slip that there are some big plans in the works when he announced that a Little Italy might permanently moving to town.
Gates Town Supervisor Mark Assini confirmed he's in talks with New City America, Inc. The California-based company specializes in the formation and management of business and community districts. "That's what we want - jobs and tax revenue to come to Gates," said Assini.
