Italian culture, deeply rooted in history and rich in artistic design and time-honored customs, continues to be preserved throughout the world and shared in countless ways. It’s always gratifying to shine the spotlight on significant contributions made by immigrants and their descendants and celebrate Italy’s rich legacy, as well as recognize the profound impact they’ve had on the development of America.

Here on Staten Island, as a way to observe those accomplishments — and in light of the fact that October has been designated Italian-Amerian Heritage and Culture Month — the DaVinci Society at Wagner College will host an annual Scholarship Dinner to honor those immigrants and generations after them, during a unique evening that showcases Italian culture. The annual event is staged in Nicotra’s Ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn.
