If it weren't for our senior citizens, we wouldn't be here. That's what friends and family were saying at the Senior Recognition Event at the Italian American club Sunday afternoon. The event was hosted by the St. Anthony's Church and the Italian American Club. It recognized 26 members of the church and club ages 85 or older and thanked them for all they've done over the years.
Many of those recognized were in their 90's. Close to a hundred people showed up. Members of both St. Anthony's and the Italian American Club said they hope they can do this every year.
