Right about now, the Advance spotlight is shining on the Staten Island social scene sizzling with all types of soirees, shindigs and charity balls, the proceeds of which contribute to making our borough a better place to live. Over at LiGreci's Staaten in West Brighton Thursday night, more than 250 revelers gathered to support the Italian Club of Staten Island Foundation's 67th annual Dinner Dance and laud four individuals for their long-time commitment to community.
The non-profit organization saluted Gina Biancardi, Luanne Sorrentino and Doreen Cugno and Carmine DeSantis. "Our members donate their time to carry out the activities of the club which is primarily service to community," Dr. George Smith, president of the organization, noted in his welcoming remarks.
