Christopher Macchio, an international classical cross-over vocalist known globally for his commanding performances from the White House balcony, will be an inaugural honoree of the Italian American Heritage Society of Long Island. Macchio will be recognized at the 2024 Long Island Italian Celebration at Larkfield Manor on Monday, October 21. Tickets and sponsorships are available now.
The Long Island native, known as “American’s Tenor,” has been part of 10 consecutive sold-out concerts as one of three New York Tenors at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. He sang in two Hollywood films: Cabrini and Don Q. Classically trained at the Manhattan School of Music Conservatory, he returned to the opera stage last fall at the Wexford Opera House in Ireland. I
