On May 10th, 2018, Vinitaly International celebrated a nine year collaboration with the American Cancer Society at "Taste of Hope", one of New York's most popular fundraising events. Held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City, Taste of Hope is the signature culinary, wine and spirit tasting event organized by the American Cancer Society. Since its inception, the event has raised over $1.8 million to support the Society's mission and goal of eliminating cancer as a major health problem.
The 2018 edition of Taste of Hope featured award-winning restaurateur, artisanal baker, and cookbook author Sarabeth Levine as its Culinary Honoree and Chef Antonio Prontelli, Executive Chef at Patina Restaurant Group's Rockefeller Center Complex, as Survivor Honoree. The culinary creations showcased during the gala were paired also with Italian wines from leading producers thanks to Vinitaly International's coordinating efforts.
