Acclaimed tenor Michael Amante to share talent with his newly adopted hometown. Fans call opera virtuoso Michael Amante "the people's tenor." He has earned that sobriquet thanks to his down-to-earth manner and versatility – he sings everything from high opera to Broadway, rock and gospel tunes.

You could also call him an operatic "everyman," a regular guy blessed with a fabulous voice who sings straight from his heart to yours. He makes his Vero Beach debut in the Vero Beach Opera's production of Johann Strauss' "Die Fledermaus" on Jan. 10 at the Vero Beach High School's Performing Art's Center.
