Il Circolo, the Italian Cultural Society of the Palm Beaches joined in the celebration of Italians at the annual Feast of Little Italy in Abacoa, Jupiter. Once again, Director, Jerry Somma, put together a super event the week-end of November 7,8,9, 2014. Il Circolo's booth captured every entrant's eye as they came through the opening gates.
Biscotti, Il Circolo logo pens, brochures and raffle tickets for a case of wine attracted them to sign up for more information. Despite the rained-out Sunday, when the world's giant cannoli was filled, the event was very successful. Our own, Marco Capoccia and his band, wowed the audience, especially when he left the stage to engage them in a lively Tarantella. Even in the rain, Franco Corso sang with a good sammaritan protecting him with his umbrella.
Special thanks to our booth managers, Barbara and Adolfo Rizzo, Kristen Noffsinger, Marie and Joe Castro, Ilaria Serra, Myriam Ruthenberg, Antoinette Vigilante, Barbara Ciongoli, Frank La Barbera, FAU students, Coleen Nelson and Austin Edwards, Andrea and Natasha Presutto, Tina Wiegand, Jenifer Vogt and Virginia Longo.
Congratulations to Melanie Scott of Wellington who won the case of wine.
