The Italian American Club of Hilton Head (IACHH)* is back with a botto (bang!), after a long year of suspended fundraising events. We are especially excited to celebrate South Carolina's OFFICIAL ANNUAL ITALIAN AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH (OCTOBER) with two popular events that benefit the local Hilton Head community. The Zin Experience, and Italian Heritage Festival.

1.) 'ZIN EXPERIENCE WITH ITALIAN FLAIR’ - [our annual wine festival] featuring DJ Monty Jett. A captivating evening for wine lovers, the Annual Zin Experience with Italian Flair, held at the Omni Oceanfront Resort ShoreHouse, will introduce you to exciting new zinfandels, as well as an array of Italian varietals to taste and purchase.

The deck overlooking the Palmetto Dunes beach is set with wine stations featuring selections from local distributors. Wine experts are available to pour you a taste of their wine, describe their offerings, and of course, take orders. A delectable spread of hors d’oeuvres accompanies the breathtaking sunset and wine selection.

For more information on the Zin Experience, please contact IACHH President, John DeCecco, [email protected] or call, (401) 524-1416

Tickets are available at The Wine & Spirit Shop at Shelter Cove (843) 785-2277

2.) THE ANNUAL ITALIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL

Offering something for everyone, the Annual Festival evolves each year, expanding on the cultural experience, and offering delectable culinary events. “Italians treat their communities as family. The proceeds go to local charities and scholarships, and no one leaves our event hungry,” says festival chair, Paul Caimano, who expects thousands of attendees again this year.
As in years past, food booths will line Honey Horn’s pathways, with local restaurants serving up portions of their signature dishes. Cooking demonstrations are scheduled throughout the afternoon, while volunteers will prepare traditional Italian dessert favorites like cannoli and zeppole.

And because everyone knows there’s more to Italy than scrumptious food, there are also educational booths, an inflatable kid’s zone, Italian arts and crafts, and other Italian merchandise.

Entertainment for the day includes live music from the Hilton Head Plantation Big Band. There will be a pizza wheel where patrons can win gift certificates to local pizzerias, competitions including grape stomping, and pizza eating.

Also, shop and bid at the famous Festival Silent Auction featuring an array of items including rounds of golf, art, jewelry, gift baskets, boat rides, merchandise, and trips.

“The festival has grown exponentially each year, and we are always grateful for the local support and turn-out,” says IACHH president, John De Cecco. “We are proud to give back to the community, that gives so generously to all our events.

Tickets are $6 at the gate and in advance and parking is free (handicap parking is available). If you have questions, email or call Paul Caimano at [email protected], 412-897-1148.
