Italian Feast's Meatball Run is returning this year to raise funds for local schools in partnership with South Carolina-based nonprofit Turn90. The Meatball Run will feature both a 5K and a 1-mile run and is a USATF certified race, according to the Summerville Italian Feast website.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Educational Foundation Dorchester District 2 school system, with awards handed out for the individuals male/female top 3 finishers in each category and a team award for highest participation.
