It was dinner and a show Sunday in the parish hall of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church as a bit of Italy came to South Georgia. The Valle d'Aosta Italian American Club celebrated its 30th anniversary Sunday with a dinner attended by Mayor John Gayle.
Dozens of members and guests prayed together, sang together and ate together. The club has 30 members, including three born in Italy, said Rosetta Coyne, the club's president.
