Swing by downtown Gainesville this weekend to see an internationally renowned artist in action. Italian urban muralist 2501 already is at work transforming the look of the :08 Seconds building at 201 W. University Ave. as part of a project that is being coordinated by the city of Gainesville's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department.
The muralist's given name is Jacopo Ceccarelli — a man whose works, according to a city news release, dive "into the essence of line art through his use of monochromatic color schemes that emphasize his technique." He is expected to finish painting the :08 Seconds building by Sunday.
