Finlay Park will be the scene for a free series of performances of a play by an Italian playwright starting Tuesday evening, and it's all free.
The South Carolina Shakespeare Company will present Carlo Goldini's "A Servant of Two Masters" on Tuesday through Saturday at the park amphitheater. The play will also run Oct. 4-8 at Saluda Shoals.
All the performances start at 7:30 p.m. The comedy is a story of intrigue, disguise and love set in 18th century Venice. It is suitable for all ages and famous for the character known as Truffaldino, a servant who loves food to a degree rarely seen. He'll do just about anything to fill his stomach, which often leads to trouble.
