If there's one thing most people are familiar with when it comes to Italian culture, it's food.
Cannoli, gnocchi, stromboli, zeppole, gelato and, yes, more than a few slices of pizza – if you weren't filling your belly at Saturday's Italian Festival in downtown Columbia, then what were you doing?
The annual festival drew thousands of attendees, most of them with their hands and mouths full of authentic Italian fare.
