The Seventh Annual Port St. Lucie Festival Italiano

Organized by GDG Productions and sponsored by the San Gennaro Festival Society of Port St. Lucie, a Non-Profit 501-C3 organization, the 2016 Seventh Annual Port St. :Lucie Festival Italiano this year is once again presented by Garber Buick-GMC of Ft. Pierce, and will take place on Saturday February 27 (12-10 pm) and Sunday February 28 (10-7 pm) at the Port St. Lucie at the Civic Center "Village Square".

This year's event promises to be bigger and better than the previous years with many popular performers. From Pisa (Italy), but residing in New Jersey, the Ambassador of Italian Music in the USA MORENO FRUZZETTI, also from San Giovanni Rotondo (Italy) the return of DANIELA MARTINO, the classical Neapolitan singer TONY IELUZZI, SHA BOOM with the best Do-Wopp hits, the trio of JOE, RAY & CRISTINA, JOSEPH GIARDINA, the tenor TEO RICCIARDELLA, RAFFAELE and his accordion, ANDREA GAROFALO, HARRY G & THE VOICE, and back by popular demand the folkloristic local dance company of True Crew Dance Company.

This year the Festival Italian together with the St. Anthony Society of South Florida, will introduce to the State of Florida a 100+ years old tradition celebrated in various boroughs of New York; the Feast of the Giglio, with the "lift" and the procession of a high structure where the statues of St. Anthony, the Virgin Mary and San Paolino da Nola are collocated.

At the Festival you'll find many arts and craft vendors, local businesses, a Kids Area with Carnival Rides, Italian novelties & souvenirs, and food vendors with a great variety of real Italian specialties. There will also be for children under 12 the breaking of the Pignata (Saturday), a Pizza Eating contest for 16 years old and over (Saturday), and the Cannoli Eating Contest (Sunday).

The Annual PSL Festival Italiano, is endorsed by the City of Port St. Lucie and St. Lucie County has a FREE ADMISSION and plenty of FREE INDOOR & OUTDOOR PARKING. The FOOD BANK will have a truck collecting canned and non perishable food items. Also part of the proceeds will benefit DREAM IN COLORS.
