The 28th Annual Louisiana American Italian Sports Hall of Fame Banquet will take place in the Hilton Hotel on January 19th, 2013.
The Louisiana American Italian Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet honors and celebrates contributions of Italian Americans in the sports, entertainment, medical and civic fields. Proceeds benefit the American Italian Cultural Center, and scholarships for college-bound high school seniors excelling in academics and athletics.
Cocktails and Silent Auction will begin at 6:00pm followed by dinner and the induction ceremony at 7:00pm.

Louisiana American Italian Sports Hall Of Fame Banquet Nomination Form
The LAISHF inducts two to four deserving individuals into its Sports Hall of Fame each year. The proposed inductees should meet the following criteria, unless the nominating committee makes a special waiver on an individual basis. The proposed inductees should be a prep, college or pro athlete, coach or sports person whose major playing time was in the State of Louisiana or are originally from this State. Nominees should be retired from the activity for which they are nominated and be of Italian heritage. Nominators must fully complete the form, with recommendations, to present to the committee. American Italian Renaissance Foundation Scholarship Application
The AIRF gives two $1,000.00 scholarships each year to deserving seniors, one male and one female. The scholarships are presented each year at the Sports Hall of Fame Banquet. The only requirements are that the student be of Italian heritage and have participated in sports at the high school level and will attend college in the fall. Deadline is October 15th.
