The Italian Cultural Institute of Taos, NM and the "Valley of Itria" scarl in the Puglia region have reached an agreement for cooperation exchanges in the fields of tourism, culture, gastronomy, crafts and services between the two countries.

The synergy of their local action plans, especially as two tourist destinations with UNESCO Heritage determinations (Alberobello and Taos Pueblo) and interest in rural development, the agreement of the "Valley of Itria" Chairman Prof. Salvatore Messina and ICS Taos President Pia Lima aims to investigate the possibility of joint-projects programs that place the right strategies for tourism development of the two territories and the International promotion of their respective markets.​
