The Arizona Science Center is shaking things up. Literally. In conjunction with "Pompeii: The Exhibition," a volcanic eruption will be staged on the rooftop at the venue for one night only on Jan. 25. Visitors will be immersed in an experience featuring real jets of fire, smoke and lava in this recreation of Mount Vesuvius's eruption in 79 A.D., which destroyed but also preserved the city of Pompeii and its inhabitants.
The center has partnered with Walter Productions, a Phoenix-based company known for its incredible art cars and over-the-top productions at events all across the country, including Electric Daisy Carnival and Bonnaroo.
