Here’s a brief bio: Susan is a dual US/Italian citizen. She has a home in Florence, but primarily lives in Umbertide, Italy with her husband best known as "the Stoic One" (given name Gary) and her precious dog Luca. She has been seen on an episode of House Hunter's International where she helped friends fulfill their dream of living in Italy. My Five Stones, is a fascinating journey through her life experiences (Italian edition: Il sentiero delle cinque pietre.) And an anthology of women's stories is captured in Tales of our Lives: Fork in the Road.

Professionally, Susan Pohl is an executive coach with over 30 years of experience helping people and organizations attain short term and long-term goals. Her background includes working with senior executives and managers, from small private companies to multi-billion dollar publicly traded organizations.

Her corporate background includes human resources positions at Apple Computer and as head of human resources at Taligent, an Apple/IBM spin-off. In addition, she held human resources positions at several start up computer companies.

Clients include: Apple Computer, Becton Dickenson, Citibank, IBM, Kaiser Permanente, NVIDIA, SanDisk, Synopsys, Stanford University, Verisign and IDinsight.

Ms. Pohl’s pro-bono work has included coaching at Catholic Charities, the Federal Correctional Institute for Women in Dublin, California, and The Coaching Fellowship.

She is also an Executive Fellow in leadership coaching at the Miller Center’s Global Social Benefit Institute (GSBI®) at Santa Clara University.

Susan Pohl holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, a Master in Divinity from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California and a Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling from San Francisco Theological Seminary.
