Italian and American collectibles are dominating the sales at Gooding & Company and RM Sotheby's during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance's motoring week. Among the headliners at Gooding & Co. on August 20-21 are a 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV with coachwork by Bertone, that is being offered publicly for the first time (est: $2.2-2.5 million), along with a stately 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider America with a Fontana hardtop (est: $1.65-1.95 million).
The auction house is also offering a private collection of five mid-century Italian sports cars, which includes a 1968 Ferrari Dino 206 GT (est: $700,000-900,000) and a 1958 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider (estimate: $70,000-90,000).
