After three months of hard work behind the curtains, MEET ITALY had its debut event on the evening of November 29th at the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles. Weeks of frenetic preparations lead to a successful evening where many representatives of the Italian and Italian American professional and scientific community, along with other local entrepreneurs, came together for an opportunity to interact and share ideas.

 Keynote speaker, Silvio Angori, CEO of iconic design and engineering Italian outfit Pininfarina discussed the future of design in the context of a changing economy where the relevance of the idea of possession of an object is fading away and the need for an “experience” is becoming increasingly prevalent.
