The ideal candidate for this position will be an innovative and energetic individual with a passion for promoting trade relations between Italy and the Western United States.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Promotes the mission of the Chamber and creates interest in its services;
Develops initiatives, calculates costs and drafts proposals, budgets and estimates, and participates in contract negotiations;
Plans, organizes and carries forward all aspects of assigned projects/missions from initial concept to accomplishment of all project objectives, including event logistics, catering, signage, displays, special requirements, selection of vendors and/or project partners, etc.
Manages project budget and ensures effective utilization of resources, including monitoring expenditures and ensuring timely payment from clients;
Identifies and develops leads, target buyers and distributors and conducts market and feasibility studies for Chamber clients wishing to introduce their products and/or services into Chamber's region;
Coordinates and leads trade delegations and participates in trade shows in Italy and across the Western United States;
Represents the organization at meetings, trade shows and other events as needed;
Answers members/clients inquiries by phone and e-mail;
Perform additional duties from time to time as identified by the Chamber's Executive Directors and Officers;
Reports to the Executive Director.
Position may be part-time or full-time. Salary range $20,000-$40,000
QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate degree in business, marketing or related field, MBA preferred.
2 years in marketing, trade relations and event organization.
Fluency in English and Italian, spoken and written.
Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strategic business relationships and relate effectively with a broad range of clients in the private and public sectors.
Superior organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work well independently.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. Social media skills desirable.
Availability to travel overseas and in the U.S. as needed
Must be authorized to work in the US.
