The Los Angeles Times reports the 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4*S NART Spyder's price was the most paid at auction for the Italian carmaker anywhere in the world.
The auctioneer last night opened the bidding on the sports car – one of only 10 in the world - at $10 million but it rose to $16 million after the first bid at the two-day sale held by RM Auctions in California.
