Amplifon, an Italian company founded in 1950 to help all those who had suffered hearing damage from the war, is now world leader in the retail hearing care market and is growing further in the U.S. The group has completed the acquisition of Hearing Instruments and Precision Hearing Aid, two companies owned by one of Miracle-Ear's leading franchisees to which about 35 stores in the U.S. belong.

The acquired stores are located in Pennsylvania, generate annual sales of about $20 million, and employ about 80 people. Miracle-Ear is the brand through which Amplifon operates in the U.S. retail market through direct and franchise stores. As a result of this acquisition, the Miracle-Ear network in the United States reaches about 400 direct stores, adding to the more than 1,200 franchise stores.

In 2023, the United States, Canada and Latin America reached 430 million euros in revenues (about 20% of the group's total).

"This second acquisition in the United States since the beginning of 2024, combined with the strength of our franchisee network, confirms our strategy to further accelerate Amplifon's growth in the world's most important market in our sector," says Enrico Vita, Amplifon's CEO. "We want to increase - he adds - our presence in the country and guarantee an excellent service to an increasing number of people thanks to our successful business model, based on the development of an important network of direct stores operating in perfect synergy with our strategic and proven franchise network."
