An Italian maker of parts for electric motors announced on Tuesday it will be opening its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Blacksburg after acquiring a local division of a Radford company.
According to Montgomery County Economic Development Director Brian Hamilton, Italy-based Zapi S.p.A. recently purchased InMotion, which at the time was a Radford-based division of Kollmorgen.
