The Consulate of Italy in Detroit hosted Italian Design Day 2022 on Monday, March 28, in The Firehouse in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood. The event highlighted Italian luxury brands and made in Italy designs as well as featuring a presentation by renowned Italian architect Roberto Palomba. During Palomba’s presentation, a craftsman demonstrated how to stitch a leather love seat from the Italian furniture company Poltrona Frau.
The unveiling of the Versace Home Collection that Palomba is designing also was revealed. The event was sponsored by Poltrona Frau, Haworth, and Palomba Serafini Associates.
