Frank Pelusi, the owner of Fashion Dry Cleaners and Tailoring in the 1700 block of East 28th Street in Lorain, is retiring and has decided to close the business after nearly 70 years. Pelusi's business is believed to the longest standing business in continuous operation on 28th Street and perhaps south Lorain. He wants to thank all of his customers for their loyalty and patronage over the years.
"I am going to miss them all because they aren't just my customers, but they have been my friends all these years," Pelusi said. "I hope I will run into them one way or another." After immigrating to the United States from the Abruzzo region of Italy with his family, Fashion Dry Cleaner's and Tailoring was started by Pelusi's father in 1947.
