
Denver International Airport (DEN) marked a historic day as United Airlines inaugurated its new non-stop flight to Rome, Italy, operated by a 257-seat B-787/9 Dreamliner. The aircraft took off from Denver yesterday, May 1st, 2025, at 5:50 pm local time, for a 10.5-hour flight to the Eternal City.
The gate opening event was attended by dignitaries including DEN CEO Phil Washington, Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, Honorary Consul of Italy Giovanna Carrerio-Contreras, and Jonna McGrath, United’s vice president of airport operations in Denver.
