Notice is hereby given that the Consulate General of Italy in Boston intends to appoint a new Honorary Consul in Providence, Rhode Island, who will be called upon to carry out primarily functions of assistance in favor of Italian citizens and protection of Italian interests in the territory of competence.
Compatriots who may be interested in this position are invited to express their interest by March 29, 2024, by sending via email here a brief Curriculum Vitae and a motivational letter with the subject line: "Selection procedure for the new title of the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Providence." It is necessary for applicants to have an excellent command of the Italian language and to be resident in the territory of the relevant constituency.
ATTENTION. The assignment to perform Honorary Consular duties does NOT constitute a civil service relationship nor an employment relationship with the Consulate General of Italy in Boston or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, but rather a voluntary service relationship for the performance of honorary duties in favor of the State that represent a very high service to the Italian community.
